Four State Karatekas get Dan upgrade

Imphal, November 26 2021:
The World Karate Federation has upgraded the grade of four Karatekas of Manipur Amateur Karate Do Association (MAKA) through Karate India Organisation.
As per a press release of the MAKA, Shihan Mutum Bankim Singh who is a 7th Dan certified by the National federation (KIO) in February 2018 has been homologated (approved) 7th Dan by the World Karate Federation on October 3, 2021 .

Further, Sensei Soibam Bindeshori Chanu, Sensei Soibam Arunkumar and Sempai Soram Chinglen who are respectively certified 5th Dan, 4th Dan and 2nd Dan by the National federation has also been upgraded to 6th Dan, 5th Dan and 3rd Dan respectively by the World Karate Federation, it said.
The certificates for Dan upgradation received by Karate India Organisation on November 18 during the 25th World Karate Championship 2021 held at Dubai have been handed over to the respective Karatekas today, it said.
