AKSDO crowned champions of U-15 cricket

AKSDO, Khangabok outclassed THAU, Thangmeiband by 6 wickets to win the 1st MNCA Women's U-15 Tournament 2023-24 on Monday.
In the summit clash at THAU Ground, THAU's decision to bat backfired as they were bundled out for 110 in 24.4 overs as Rabina Khundrakpam claimed five scalps, Bijiya Khundrakpam and Alish Thokchom two each and Creety Moirangthem one with only Robeni Usham (25) and captain Thoithoibi Ahongshangbam (17) able to resist the fierce Khangabok bowling attacks.
Bijiya Khundrakpam (44 not out) and Alish Thokchom (31) then ensured that AKSDO cruise past the target in 19.3 overs with the loss of 4 wickets, shared by Thoithoibi (2 wickets), Konjengbam Nonibala Devi and Megnoria Devi Khundrakpam.
Rabina Khundrakpam was adjudged Women of the Series for her 17 wicket-haul and 145 runs, Women of the Match and Highest Wicket Taker, while Barkatun Khanam (FORCE) was Highest Run Scorer with 373 runs, Nongthombam Langlenthoibi (PCC) Most Emerging Player title and Mata Panthoibi Association (MPA) named Most Fairplay Team.
