Imphal, December 18 2009: Five-times winner and six times runners up TRAU once again entered the final round of the 53rd edition of the Sir Churachand Singh KCSI, CBE Memorial Football Tournament, 2009 organised by AMFA after defeating last season's runners up team NEROCA in the final match today.

After TRUGPU entering the final for the first time in the history of CC Meet in the first semi final match played yesterday, the Tiddim Road Athletic Union (TRAU), Kwakeithel today defeated the North Eastern Reorganising and Cultural Association (NEROCA) Sangakpham in tie break and entered the final.

Huge number of fans gathered in the gallery of the Khuman Lampak Sports Complex to witnessed the two one time CC Meet champion teams vying for the last berth into the final of the 53rd CC Meet.

The big stadium of Khuman Lampak was echoed with the clappings of both teams' fans who gathered here to witness the match.

Right from the beginning both teams displayed a very tough fight against one another trying to strike their winning goal.

But it was not an easy task to dominate over one another to win the match since they played the match with almost equals skills and tactics.

However, the match concluded in a goalless tie in the normal time.

In the tie break only two players out of five of NEROCA could entered their ball into the net while the other three could not made it as the custodian of TRAU nicely saved all the three kick.

K Premjit and Ng Tomarjit were the scorer of NEROCA while the other three saved kicks were kicked by Th Surjit, Kh Santosh and Yarmipei.

On the other hand, three player out of for of TRAu managed to enetered their ball into the net while one missed the target as his kick went wide from the goal post.

The scorers of TRAU were Lunminlal Khongsai Rama, K Priyokumar and Th Itomba while L Lolendro missed it.

TRAU will fight the Tiddim Road Unique Gamy Players Union (TRUGPU), Nambol who entered the final for the first time in the final match which has been scheduled to play on December 20 next at 1.15 pm.

It may be recalled that TRAU had so far won the CC Meet five times.

TRAU first won the tournament in the year 1960.The other four were won in the 1961, 1974, 1981 and 2004.Besides TRAU had also won the second place six times in the years 1963, 1964, 1965, 1970, 1988 and 1989 .

NEROCA won the trophy only once in the year 2002 while in the years 2002 and 2008 NEROCA won the second place.

But for TRUGPU it was the first time they entered the final.
