MU names 10-member judo team for NE Zone Inter University tournament

Imphal, November 07 2023: The Department of Sports, Manipur University has announced names of 10 judokas selected to represent the university at the North East Zone Inter University Judo Tournaments to be held at Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, Kanpur (UP) .

The judokas selected for the men's tournament slated to be held from November 16 to 18 are Kh Jeniber of KP College (60 kg), Th Nishikanta of Mayai Lambi College (66 kg), Th Aditta of Pravabati College (73 kg), NK Sanatomba of Pole Star College (81 kg), Ch Roberto of Pravabati College (91 kg) and L Symon (100 kg) .

Meanwhile judokas named for the women's tournament due to be held from November 20 to 22 are M Roshibina of Pravabati College (48 kg), H Matouleibi of KP College (52 kg), L Chaoba of Biramangol College (57 kg) and Sunandi Heisnam of Pravabati College (63 kg) .

The Department of Sports, Manipur University also informed the selected players to report to the assistant director of Sports, MU on November 10 at 11 am for further details and completion of eligibility formalities.
