3 referees suspended for conducting unauthorized tournament

Imphal, February 27 2023: The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has suspended three registered referees until further notice.

The decision to suspend them came after acting on a reliable source that the three registered referees are conducting an unauthorized tournament without reporting to their assignment of Dilbung Kamchor Memorial 1st U-14 Boys Inter Club Tournament 2022-23 .

The referees who have been suspended as per a memorandum issued by AMFA are Ch Pamei of Imphal West, M Nano of Thoubal and Telem Rajesh Kom of Kakching.

The association has been constantly reminding registered referees and players to not be involved in any unauthorized tournament.

In the meantime, the sideline kept on three referees namely-Shanta Lairenjam, Tombi Sougrakpam and Maheshkumar Heirangkhongjam have been lifted, informed AMFA in a separate memorandum.
