Silver medallist Karung Albertson Kom felicitated

Kakching, March 30 2024: Karung Albertson Kom, a silver medallist at the 3rd Sub Junior Boys and Girls National Boxing Championship 2024 (March 18-25, Greater Noida), was felicitated by United Brothers' Sporting Association (UBSA), Mantak, at his native village Mantak's community hall on Saturday.

UBSA members, Mantak Village Authority members, religious leaders, villagers, and the medallist's relatives attended the celebration.

During the event, UBSA president M Mohonjao Kom and other speakers congratulated Karung Albertson Kom for his achievement.

Mantak Baptist Church's Pastor Reverend Sanglen Serto led a blessing ceremony, praying for God's favour in all Karung Albertson's future endeavours.

Albertson received gifts from UBSA Mantak, the Mantak Village Authority, the Mantak Students Union, the Women's Society, the Youth Society, and other people.

Born to Karung Sanatomba Kom and Karung Bomnu Kom of Mantak village, Karung Albertson Kom is currently training at the Mary Kom Boxing Academy.

He won the silver in the 52-22kg category at the 3rd Sub-Junior Boys and Girls National Boxing Championship 2024 .
