Precision agriculture training prog concludes

Imphal, March 30 2024:
A 7-day-long customised skill development training programme on "Precision Agriculture Technologies" organised by the College of Agriculture, Central Agricultural University, Iroisemba concluded on March 24 .
Sponsored by the National Committee on Precision Agriculture & Horticulture (NCPAH), ministry of agriculture and farmers' welfare, Government of India; the initiative aimed to introduce advanced agricultural techniques for a more sustainable future in the state.
The valedictory session, attended by eminent figures including Dean of College of Agriculture, CAU, professor Indira Sarangthem, was actively participated by 33 farmers and entrepreneurs from different districts.
The training programme covered a range of precision agriculture technologies and practical sessions, with 20 resource persons contributing insights.
Professor Indira commended the participants and pledged ongoing support from the institute.
She also promised future hands-on training sessions in response to participant requests.
Encouraging participants to implement learned techniques, professor Nabachandra and professor Chaoba highlighted the potential of precision agriculture, while professor Ak Bijaya stressed the importance of such programmes.
