Monolith in honour of SK Livingstone unveiled

Ukhrul, March 30 2024:
A monolith erected in the name of Brigadier ( Retd) Late SK Livingstone and his wife SK Ranpemla in commemoration of their selfless services for the Naga nation was unveiled today at Kachai National Workers' Park, Nangung, Kachai Village in Ukhrul district.
Revered A Puni, Member, of Collective Leadership, NSCN who was the chief guest of the programme unveiled the monolith in the presence of Major General (Retired) Ramkating Varah; VC, Executive Member, Steering Committee, NSCN, President (In-charge) Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) RS Jollyson; President of Tangkhul Shanao Long (TSL), Thingreiphi Lungharwoshi and Mingthing R Shimray acting Headman of Kachai village.
Speaking at the occasion, Revered A Puni expressed that (Late) SK Livingstone had made supreme sacrifices for the Naga nation and must be honoured by all for his remarkable services.
'He was fondly called the Invincible Man of the Naga Army', he said.
He continued that, 'Livingstone was a man of integrity having a strong revolutionary spirit with good convincing power, mobilised and educated the public about the Naga political movement during his service'.
Notably late SK Livingstone was the recipient of highest Naga military Award ' Victory Cross' and was appointed as the first political commissar of NSCN for his strong nationalism spirit.
The commemoration programme was also attended by a host of leaders of eminent Naga organisations including United Naga Council, Naga Women Union, ANSAM, TNL, TKS, TSL, TNWL, TMNL, Longphangs, NSWON from different regions, Commander from different brigades, leaders from neighbouring villages and other dignitaries.
