Writers seek blessing for village volunteers

Imphal, September 10 2023: Writers of Manipur organised a donation drive under, the aegis of Irungbam Basanta in Wangkhei Khunou area by collecting three fistful of rice from different households as a mark seeking blessings for the protection of village volunteers, who are defending villages in the frontline.

Many donated different food items other than the rice and local elders also took part in the drive.

Thanking the people for their blessings and contribution, one of the writers, Birjit Ningomba said that the donation drive is more of a symbolic gesture, which follows the tradition of seeking divine blessing for longevity and protection from harm.
