Imphal, November 16 2023: One Benedict (32), a resident of Dalpati Ward No 2, Moreh (near Tamil temple) was robbed of around Rs two lakh and three mobile phones by unidentified armed persons.

Five unidentified persons barged into the house of Benedict s/o Anthony, threatened Benedict and robbed of around Rs two lakh as well as three mobile phones last night, sources informed.

Of late, some armed persons have been threatening many residents of the border town at their own whim and fancy, said the sources.

So far, there is no report of arrest of any of these armed persons who are involved in threatening and looting civilians, the sources added.
