New sale point for OMSS rice opened

CCpur, June 26 2023: A new sale point for OMSS rice in the district has been opened on Monday at S Kawtlian village taking the total of such sales points to four.

Deputy commissioner Dharun Kumar S, additional DCs Khaikhopau Ngaihte and Jameson Hangsing inaugurated the OMSS rice sale point.

Other sales points are Mini-Secretariat Complex, Tuibong; ADCC Town Office, Hiangtam Lamka; and Lamka South BDO Office, Khominthang.

Rice is being distributed at the rate of Rs 32 per kg to the public.

Each household is entitled to 5 kg rice per day under the scheme.
