Imphal, August 10 2010:
In yet another case of the 28 Assam Rifles, based at Lilong, coming to the rescue of the local people, a 35 year old man who was bitten by a venomous snake yesterday at about 6.30 pm was administered anti-venom injection and saved.
The victim has been identified as Indrakumar son of Jogendrakumar of Urup village.
On being bitten by the venomous snake, Indrakumar was rushed to the Lilong post of 28 Assam Rifles where he was administered anti-venom serum and first aid.
He is now out of danger.
Family members and the people of Lilong have expressed their gratitude to the AR personnel.
