Corcom denies hand in blasts

Imphal, October 30 2013: While denying involvement in the blasts at Thangal Keithel (Oct 29) and Moirangkhom Moreh van parking (Oct 30), the CorCom contended that Indian security forces plotting the explosions cannot be ruled out.

Mourning human casualties in the latest bomb explosion at Moirangkhom area this morning and conveying solidarity to members of the bereaved families, a statement issued today by its media coordinator H poirei said even though targeting Indian security forces is inevitable as part of the ongoing armed movement to regain Manipur's independence CorCom does not believe in targeting innocent Indian citizens to achieve the goal.

As past incidents are clear indication that indian security forces do not hesitate in harming/slaying innocent people as retaliatory actions or simply because they (Indian SFs) are reluctant to face insurgents in the ongoing battle, the recent blasts might be yet another attempt to shift the blame on UG groups for the suffering and pangs of the common public, Poirei claimed.

Moreover absence of public declaration about the actual plan/policy for keeping surrendered militants at security force camps and alleged security force patronage being enjoyed by rogue elements/groups also strengthen the suspicion that these elements could be misused anytime or anywhere to create havoc in the society, maintained CorCom a conglomerate of six UG groups namely KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF and UNLF.

In case non-corCom groups are not involved in the said blasts it could be safely concluded that the incidents are part of the hidden agenda of Indian security forces, said Poirei reiterating that Indian security force had been habitual offenders of human rights.

It also called upon every section of the society to remain vigil to that devilish intentions of security force could be effectively thwarted.
