Dr Kishan case hearing

Imphal, October 30 2013:
Resuming the argument hearing proceedings of the case (CC/36/10 CBI Vs Hopeson Ningshen, which is related to the abduction and subsequent killing of Dr Thingnam Kishan, the then SDO of Kasom Khullen and his two subordinate staffs, namely Revenue Mandal Y Token and Driver A Rajen Sharma in February, 2009) in the court of Special CBI Judge Vinay Gupta at Patiala House, New Delhi today, Senior Public Prosecutor A.K Singh argued that the motive behind the abduction was to demand a ransom of Rs.20 lakhs from the deceased Dr.Th.Kishan Singh.
Since the accused Hopeson Ningshen failed to collect the ransom amount as Dr Thingnam Kishan Singh was not prepared to forward the same to his family, the accused got irritated and in a fit of anger, committed the murder.
The next date of hearing of the case has been fixed at 2 pm tomorrow.
