Noney Police seizes DIC liquor

Noney, October 22 2022: A team of Noney police led by ASI Gaisinlung Panmei under the supervision of Noney SP and OC Noney PS seized 1100 litres of DIC liquor (local made) on Friday at around 11.05pm.During a frisking & checking at Noney PS Check Post Gate along National Highway 37, the police team stopped a suspicious Bolero Camper coming from Imphal side, said police.

On checking the vehicle, 1100 litres of DIC Liquor worth about Rs 2.75 lakh was recovered.

The owner of the liquor has been identified as Tabitha Riamei (33), w/o Pouthuilung Kamei of Thiuluan village, Tamenglong district.

The arrested person has been handed over to Noney PS for further legal action.

Moreover, the seized liquor was disposed of on Saturday by Noney Police along with Longmai Bazar Board, Longmai Bazar Youth Club (LBYC), Noney Peaceland Youth Club (NPYC) and CSO leaders of the area.
