Imphal, November 09 2009: Contradictory to the policy being pursued by the Government of India, the EU's stand is not expansion but to ensure its power and well-being of its member countries.

History, identity and map undergo changes across the world according to time.

In line with this trend, the people of Manipur should also evolve and may form a modern identity.

The wish of the UPPK is the people of Manipur becoming a human race, more refined and progressive, it conveyed.

The rise in the number of revolutionary parties in Manipur is because of disapproval of the larger parties existing earlier.

It needs one party based on democracy, equality and justice, should the number of revolutionary parties be kept under check, the UPPK asserted.

All the revolutionary parties based in Manipur have no difference in quality, but in terms of quantity they are different.

In most of the parties, popular democratic principles and the spirit of unification are very vague.

Most of the parties do not pay due attention to politics.

They are more focused on military matters, it observed.

When there is no democracy, equality and justice within revolutionary parties, people would find it hard to believe that these parties would set ideal principles and system of statecraft after winning independence.

In the words of Mao, politics is the soul of soldiers and weapons are secondary, the outfit quoted while pondering whether the revolutionary cadres are soulless freedom fighters.

The UPPK has discussed and identified the internal flaws and lapses together with the revolutionary soldiers.

The party has also realised the need to redefine the party-people relationship, it conveyed.

The outfit is also of the opinion that the relationship between revolutionary parties, civil society organisations and frontal organisations needs remodelling.

It's time to introspect whether leaders of frontal organisations are furthering the cause or revolution or adapted themselves as pro-Government.

For instance, many leaders of civil society organisations and frontal organisations have joined mainstream Indian politics and become MLAs and Ministers.

Ths UPPK has taken note of this mistake.

The UPPK is open to dialogue with the Government of India but it should be without any pre-condition.

Any dialogue should be held with dignity and respect.

Stating that they would wage only the plausible revolution but not the impossible and make-belief one, the outfit categorically asserted that those opposed to unification and joint struggle are against revolution.

The UPPK does not take as revolutionary parties all those parties who do not want or disapprove discussion, debate and criticism.

One earnest wish of the UPPK is to form a revolutionary party together with Naga, Kuki as well as other tribes and minority groups.

Members of all these tribes and minorities should also be made leaders.

The party's principle is to focus more on class difference between the poor and the rich, after sidelining the questions of ethnicity, tribe and caste.

No rich man and poor man can be friends even if they belong to Kuki community or Naga community or Meitei community.

The rich have formed a common class regardless of their ethnic origin.

The poor Kukis, Nagas and Meiteis constitute another class, it pointed out.

The UPPK called upon all to discuss, analyse and correct the faults and work together.

Seeking pardon for the faults committed in the last 30 years, the UPPK pledged that it would undertake all its activities in consulation with the people from today onwards.

"We achieve success when all the people approve the revolution", it declared.
