SFs aid orphanage, hold motivational lecture

Under the aegis of IGAR (South), security forces distributed books, musical instruments and essential items at an Orphanage in Thamnapokpi, Moirang under Bishnupur district on Tuesday in connection with Children's Day.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the initiative was conceptualised and completed as a part of security forces' civic action programme for the financial year 2023-24 .
The distribution was also aimed at motivating the future generations of Manipur who can immensely contribute towards comprehensive Nation building, the PRO added.
Security forces also distributed 10 water storage tanks of 1000 litres capacity to Chamu village in Kamjong district on Thursday and sports items at Hiangtam Khunou, Behiang and Suangdoi in Churachandpur district with the aim to promote sports culture in the border villages and motivate the youth and children.
Similarly, the troopers distributed relief materials comprising 100 blankets, 100 mattresses, medical aid, shelter provisions, and other essential items to the inmates of relief camps in Leimaram and Khoripok.
On the other hand, security forces conducted motivational lecture aimed to spread awareness amongst the youth about various options and opportunities to join the uniformed service at Santing L village in Churachandpur district on Monday.
Meanwhile, under the aegis of Headquarter IGAR (S) security forces provided emergency medical assistance to a severely anaemic woman aged about 61 years from Churachandpur by providing multiple units of blood, the PRO informed.
