Huge cache of weapons recovered

Imphal, September 18 2023: A joint team of Sangaikot Police, 36 Assam Rifles, 3 J&K Rifle and F/124 CRPF carried out a search operation at Khodang village in Churachandpur district and its surrounding area on Saturday morning, and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition.

According to a police report, the team conducted operation at Khodang village and surrounding area from 8am till noon and recovered 14 country made Pump guns, 3 kg of Pump gun ammunition, 2kg of gunpowder, one SBBL gun, 30 rounds of SBBL gun, 65 rounds of CTN/7.62 mm LMG, 10 rounds of VDR/SLR, 8 rounds of M21, seven rounds of 9mm pistol, and one country made bomb with triggering mechanism.
