AR conducts medical camp, polio drive

Imphal, March 04 2024: Under Operation Sadbhavana Project for the financial year 2023-24, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Mata village in Churachandpur district on Sunday during which 493 villagers were screened for treatment and medicines distributed to those in need, conveyed PRO IGAR (S) in a statement.

According to the PRO, pulse polio drives were also conducted at Pallel in Kakching district and at Sehlon and Joupi villages along the Indo-Mayanmar border in Chandel district.

During the Pallel drive, 31 children received the vital polio-drops while in Sehlon and Joupi drives, 200 and 89 children respectively were covered, the PRO informed, adding that the initiatives demonstrate its dedication to public health and welfare, ensuring access to essential medical services and disease prevention measures, despite the on-going challenges in the state.
