Medical camp held at Kwatha Khunjao

A medical camp was organised by a team led by Sub-District Hospital Moreh MO in-charge Dr Manoranjan and Dr Cecil Ahongshangbam along with Special Malaria Unit and KRSNAA Laboratory under the aegis of chief medical officer (CMO) Tengnoupal Dr Kh Gojen Singh at Primary Health Sub Centre (PHSC) Kwatha Khunjao on Tuesday.
The camp provided medical treatment to around 35 villagers at PHSC Kwatha and facilitated examination of BP, blood sample, malaria and dengue testing along with providing free medicines.
Dr Manoranjan and his staff also visited houses of three bedridden senior citizens of the village and examined their health.
Speaking on the sidelines, Dr Cecil Ahongshangbam informed that the camp provided treatment to around 35 people, out of which 25 did not suffer any serious ailment, while samples of patients suspected to be suffering from dengue have been collected for testing at Moreh Hospital.
Kwatha PHSC nurse Kherimayum Rani Devi informed on Monday that around 20 people of Kwatha Khunjao had viral fever on June 28/29, and they were treated with medicines available at the PHSC.
Most of the patients have now recovered, leaving only two/three people, that too only mild cases, she added.
