Imphal, February 11 2022:
Owner of The Sangai Express and Independent candidate in Keishamthong Constituency Nishikant Singh Sapam has stated that sincerity in doing politics and formulation of a policy with a vision are keys to take Manipur to greater heights.
Addressing the official announcement of his election symbol (battery torch) at Sega Road, Thouda Bhabok Leikai today, the Independent candidate continued that battery torch is very symbolic as it is used to eliminate darkness.
Saying that he would work at his level best to give a new ray of hope to the people of Keishamthong AC and Manipur which are seemingly in a dark age, he said that the ensuing election is very crucial as it would decide the fate of Keishamthong and the State at large.
He also appealed to all to give their votes to the most competent candidate.
"Let this election be a battle of right and wrong," he said.

Saying that genuine sacrifice, sincerity and vision would be the right interpretation of politics, Nishikant maintained that formulating policy without a vision would be akin to driving sans sights.
Lapses such as availability of liquor in a dry Manipur and roads being higher than homestead land are only some indications of the lack of vision in formulating policies and absence of sincere politicians, he added.
If this system is not corrected, the State will never see a better future, he added.
Nishikant said that he has been defined as the wealthiest candidate as per the affidavit submitted but it is known by all that there are many other candidates who are richer than him manifold.
Continuing that that State will never reach its pinnacle unless the existing lapses and flaws are not resolved, the Independent candidate asserted that he entered into electoral politics with a conviction to script a new history.
"I envy no power," he said and urged the people to cast their votes in favour of the most deserving candidate.
