AR conducts tuition classes, distributes essentials

Assam Rifles of IGAR (S) has started conducting tuition classes for the underprivileged children of Komlakhong village at Assam Rifles camp, Komlakhong with effect from Monday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the classes will be conducted daily after school hours to enhance the linguistic skills and impart quality education to the local children for pursuing their studies amid the challenging times.
A total of 30 children aged 10-15 years have been enrolled for the tuition classes, the PRO added.
Assam Rifles also conducted a motivational lecture related to joining the Indian Armed Forces at Sangaikot village on Monday during which the participants were briefed about Agniveer Scheme, SSC (GD) rally and many other opportunities in joining Indian Armed Forces.
On the other hand, Assam Rifles distributed relief materials including food, sleeping bags, clothing, toiletries, and hygiene products to 50 residents of Serou relief camp in Kakching district, dedicated a bore well to Wamku village in Chandel district on Sunday and distributed sports equipment to local clubs of Ishok village in Bishnupur district on Monday as part of Operation Sadbhavna.
According to the PRO, a comprehensive health check-up for expecting mothers, rural women and children were conducted in Chandel, Moltuk, Larong and Machi villages during which 771 individuals were screened for treatment and medicines distribute to those in need.
