U-19 cricket: CYCLONE, PCC, AL-AMEEN, AKSDO win

Imphal, February 12 2024:
CYCLONE, Thangmeiband; PCC, Mayai Koibi; AL-AMEEN, Lilong; and AKSDO, Khangabok registered easy victories against their respective opponents on Monday in league matches of the 2nd MNCA Men's U-19 Tournament 2023-24 .
At Lairenjam Public Ground, CYCLONE thrashed YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel by 7 wickets after bundling out YUCC for a paltry 72 runs in the allotted overs.
Shinoj Khwairakapam led the CYCLONE bowing attack with 6 wickets as Ronak Chaudhary claimed two and Amar Sandham and Thockhom Sushil Singh accounted for one YUCC wicket each.
Binson Laithangbam (23) and Pukhrambam Hilbert Singh (19) guided CYCLONE home in 14.3 overs.
On the other hand, PCC trounced YPHUC, Lalambung by 8 wickets at Moijing Public Ground, Thoubal.
Batting first, YPHUC were all out for 76 in 17.5 overs which PCC overhauled in 8.1 over.
PCC bowlers Lucky Thokchom (3), Laitonjam Anjan, Pravin Kumar and Mairembam Lucky Meitei (2 wickets each) and Ajay Mahto Kumar (1) laid the foundation for the team's victory with Lucky Thokchom also scoring 16 runs, Ajay Mahto Kumar (11) and Takhelmayum Vikash (16 not out) to complete the win.
In the match at Model Higher Secondary & Oriental College Ground, AL-AMEEN defeated SHADOW, Thangmeiband by 27 runs as the latter's run chase folded up at 110 in 23 overs compared to 137 set by AL-AMEEN.
AL-AMEEN's win had all-round contribution from Naeem Ahamad, who scored a half-century and scalped six wickets with support from captain Mohd Sagir Ahamad (30) and two wickets.
For SHADOW, Reolin Oinam, Sapam Bikash Singh, James Sahu, S Lanchenba and Naoshekpam Manglemba Meetei took two wickets each.
Meanwhile, AKSDO crushed RULE, Meitram by 141 runs as the latter were bundled out for 67 in 26.5 overs chasing 208 at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur.
Put in to bat, AKSDO compiled 208 in 39.3 overs riding on half-centuries from Winchelly Laishram (60) and Saikhom Kaiku Singh (65) .
