Lamding Educated Welfare Association extends monetary aid

As part of their continued effort to extend help to the needy, the Lamding Educated Welfare Association (LEWA) Thoubal district has handed over a sum of Rs 10,000 to the family of Late Yumnam Dayanand alias Nana (28) from Salungpham Mamang Leikai under Heirok Assembly Constituency.
According to a statement issued by S Ojit Singh, president, LEWA, Yumnam Dayanand s/o Y Ibohanbi Meitei, passed away on January 28 and is survived by his wife Yumnam Ongbi Ranjana, a 5 year old son and less than a year old infant daughter.
The LEWA team who took on the aid extension visit was led by executive members Manoj and Biganda and accompanied by president S Ojit, treasurer Kh Nimaichand, members Kh Chaoba Devi, Bimola and Sanahal.
Speaking in this connection, S Ojit Singh urged the local clubs of the State to inculcate the practice of extending help to needy families under their jurisdiction.
Receiving the sum from the LEWA team, Yumnam Ongbi Ranjana extended her gratitude to them for their help during this difficult time.
