Aid extended, club floated to help victims

Many continue to dis-tribute essential items and ex-tend monetary assistance to relief camps set up for sheltering people displaced by the ethnic clashes in different areas of the state.
Leishangthem Apunba Lup Relief Committee provided edi-bles and clothes to people taking shelter at Keirak, Wabagai Higher Secondary School, Langmei-dong and Saiton.
Moreover, the women wing of the committee also distributed health and un-itary items to the relief camp while Peace Committee Lilong and Kanglei Sintha Semkat Lup Singjamei Bazar provided essen-tial items and extended mone-tary aid to relief camps set up at Minority Hostel, Lamding High School, Yambem Leikai Yairipok and Ideal Girls College Akampat.
Organisation for a Better Society also provided financial support to six patients, who were injured in the communal clash and are undergoing treatment at Kripadashini Advanced Hospital, Palace Compound.
On the other hand, a meeting of 1971 batch of Ram Lal Pal High School formed 'Senior Citizens Club' to help the poor and des-titute people and also to victims of the present conflict.
