NEET (UG) 2023 in Imphal Centre on June 6: DC

The National Eligibil-ity cum Entrance Testr-dergraduate) or NEET UG) for Imphal Centre would be held on June 6 for which necessary preparations have been made, said Imphal West DC Thokchom Kirankumar.
Informing this during a press meet held at his of-fice here on Saturday, the DC said that the entrance test for undergoing medi-cal education will be held in 22 centres in the state - 12 in Imphal West and 10 in Imphal East.
Out of 8751 candidates, 1914 opted for exam centres in other states due to the restive situation in Manipur, while around 2000 candidates could not be contacted through the mobile numbers mentioned in their registration forms, he disclosed, adding that efforts are on to communicate with the remaining candidates.
Kirankumar also advised registered candidates, who are yet to be communicated, to contact their respective DCs.
Considering the volatile situation of the state, the test would begin from 12 noon and continue till 3.20 pm.
Candidates should report to their assigned centres by 9 am and gates of the examination centre will be closed at 11.30 am.
Candidates, who opted Imphal Centre by default, can use the previous admit cards but those who changed cen-tre recently need to down-load fresh admit cards from the DC offices and Sishu Nishta Niketan, Kwakeithel Mayaikoibi.
Candidates, who could not download their admit cards in advance can also inform the officials and collect same from gates of the exam centres, he said.
On the other hand, the DC said, Lamlong Higher Secondary School centre has been shifted to Ananda Singh Higher Second-ary Academy at Old Checkon due to certain conditions.
In case of shortening of curfew relaxation hours, there will be no restriction on movement of candidates and their admit cards will be valid as curfew pass for the day.
In case, any candidate changed their exam centre from Imphal to another centre outside the state but could not go to the centre for certain reasons, they can sit for the examination by using their old admit cards, he explained.
