Blood donation camp held

Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Imphal East District Branch, today organised a blood donation camp at JNIMS Hospital Blood Bank & Transfusion Unit, Porompat under the theme, "Through humanity to peace" .
Speaking to media persons, IRCS Imphal East District Branch secretary Laishram Kuber shared that the camp was conducted especially for the people of blood groups O+ and A+ .
He continued that about 30 persons donated their blood during the camp.
Dr Surjit of JNIMS Hospital Blood Bank & Transfusion Unit informed that routine blood donation camps have been conducted in the Unit to fulfil the requirement of blood in the State.
Sharing that there is no shortage of blood in JNIMS Blood Bank, Dr Surjit appealed to the public to be apprehensive about the shortage of blood for any medical emergencies.
Similarly, CCIAN Forum, 1996-98 Batch also organised a blood donation camp at Shija Hospital, Langol on Saturday.
At the camp, Angomcha Chingkhei, former general secretary of CCIAN Forum, stated that the blood donation camp was conducted to help the people who are in need of blood for medical treatment amid these difficult times.
He also asserted that members of the Forum donated their blood as a mark of support to the brave heroes who are fighting to protect the integrity of Manipur.
Chingkhei further appealed to the Central & State Governments to take necessary steps to restore peace & normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.
