ADC celebrates pension scheme implementation

Ukhrul Autonomous District Council (UADC) organised a grand feast to celebrate the launch of much-anticipated pension scheme for its employees at Ukhrul Town Hall, here, on Thursday.
UADC caretaker chairman A Mark Luithing Phungthar attended the event as chief guest and UADC CEO David Kashungnao as guest of honour.
The celebration commenced with the chief gues t Unveiling the 'Grand Feast' monolith which was erected to mark the successful implementation of the long-awaited pension scheme.
The newly-unveiled monolith stands as an evidence of the UADC's commitment to the welfare of its employees and gives a glimpse into the struggles that had gone in to implement the pension scheme for the last many years.
The pension scheme was implemented effective from December 4, 2018 and has covered a total of 1100 employees under UADC.
Attending the event as special appearance, popular stand-up comedian Pakmi Mahong enthralled the gathering with his hilarious jokes and anecdotes.
Adding to the celebration was a series of scintillating performances by some of the talented ADC employees.
The event was also attended by UADCEWA president Somi Raising, 6 ADC Pension Demand Committee Manipur chairman Haowung Ronnui, Retired DI & UADCEWA executive committee members Underson A Shimray and Wonthing A Shimray.
The day-long celebration culminated with hundreds of ADC employees partaking in a grand feast at the town hall.
