Teacher-pupil rapport stressed at lecture programme

Imphal, February 05 2024:
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Career Guidance & Counselling Cell of Maharaja Bodhchandra (MB) College organised a one-day lecture programme on 'Activities on college students' mentoring initiatives' under theme 'Exploring mentor-mentee symbiotic relationship' at the library hall of the College, here, on Monday.
Sponsored by the Directorate of University and Higher Education, the inaugural function of the programme was held with MB College principal Prof RK Hemanta as president and vice principal Dr RK Indira as guest of honour.
Speaking as the chief guest, United College Lambung, Chandel principal Dr BD Thumdal emphasised on the importance of mentor-mentee relationship under NEP and as such, urged for concerted efforts in improving the relationship between the teachers and the taught.
During the programme, Government Hindi Teachers' Training College principal Prof Thokchom Asha delivered a lecture on 'Education mother of people and planet: Reflection and innovations' and MB College Political Science assistant professor Dr N Somorendro on 'Effective mentor-mentee relationship in the Colleges of Manipur' .
