Pambei-led UNLF mourns

The Pambei-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA has mourned demise of its private Moirangthem Mangoljao alias Kesharjit s/o Moirangthem Momon and Rasilei of Kakching Turel Wangma Phousupat Leikai.
Born on March 21, 1975, Moirangthem Mangoljao alias Kesharjit completed training and became an MPA cadre in March 1994, according to a press release issued by the outfit's media coordinator Charairongba Thokchom.
After completing his training, private Mangoljao took part in many battles against adversary forces.
In one such battle fought on June 11, 1995, Sergeant Ningthoujam Pakpa was killed while private Mangoljao sustained critical bullet injury.
Even though private Mangoljao was crippled by the injury, his commitment to the cause of the party and the Nation did not wane a bit, it said.
While he was staying at home, private Mangoljao suffered repeated harassment and torture at the hands of the Indian military forces, it said.
Following the critical bullet injury he suffered in battle, private Mangoljao underwent treatment for a long time.
As his condition worsened recently, he was taken to hospital but he expired at around 3 am on February 4 .
Private Mangoljao was a well-disciplined, courageous, amenable, honest and selfless UNLF-MPA cadre, it said.
The Pambei-led UNLF and its armed wing MPA have also conveyed solidarity to the bereaved family and friends.
