CPI rally denounces Govt failure to end violence

Imphal, June 13 2023:
CPI Khurai Council on Tuesday took out a rally from Khurai Kala Vidya Bhavan to Lamlong Keithel and shouted slogans for peaceful living and end to the conflict situation.
The rally participants also raised the demand that the central government restore peace and normalcy in the state, prevent armed Kuki militants from killing innocent civilians and burning of houses, resignation of PM Modi over failure to protect lives and properties of Ma nipuris, to convene special assembly session and protect lives and properties of the people.
Speaking on the sidelines of the rally, CPI state secretary Leishangthem Thoiren expressed that the rally was taken out to denounce failure of the government authorities to restore peace and normalcy in the state.
While claiming that the people of Manipur have no trust in the policies of the central government as they (government) disregard the state for a long time, he also questioned the silence of PM Narendra Modi in-spite of the state facing the unrest situation for over a month.
