High Court begins hybrid hearing

Keeping in view of the restive situation in the state, Manipur High Court has commenced hearings in hybrid mode from June 6 .
According to a statement released by the joint secre tary, in hybrid hearing, the hearing is conducted either through virtual mode or in physical mode.
This mode will be more convenient for parties especially during the prevailing situation in the state, while further facilitating the parties who are staying outside the state due to the violence.
In addition to conduct of court hearings through video conferencing, e-fil ing of cases can be done at e-SEWA Kendra and district collectors' offices.
The computer committee of Manipur High Court is also working to provide hybrid hearing facility in the lower courts.
To assist parties and advocates with regard to e-filing and case hearings via video con ference, helpline numbers- 91 9089812323 and 8014829143 (video conference) have been opened.
Furthermore, the High Court has already notified the standard operating procedure for conduct of court hearings in hybrid mode, the statement conveyed.
