Panel discussion on impact of crisis held

A daylong panel discussion on the topic "Degradation of Education, Economy, Culture during Present Crisis in Manipur and Remedial Measures" was held under the aegis of YK College, Wangjing Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Seminar Committee, at the conference hall of the College on Saturday.
Moderated by College principal Dr Soibam Giri, the seminar was also attended by former principal of the college Dr Soibam Birahari, IRE Group of Institute, Wangjing principal Dr Narengbam Rajivkumar, MB College Department of Political Science assistant professor Dr N Somorendro, social activist Rojen Thongam and YK College English Department head associate professor P Somarendro as panel members.
During the seminar, Dr Rajivkumar spoke on the topic "Causative Factors of the Crisis", social activist Rojen Thongam on "Present Situation of Moreh and Future", and P Somarendro on "Overall situation with reference to Sugnu and Serou", while Dr N Somorendro deliberated on the topic "Impact of History and Politics in Indian Political System on Manipur".
In his address, Dr Soibam Giri said that the seminar has been conducted with the aim to discuss the prevailing crisis in the state and its impact on education, economy and culture of the state as well as formulate strategies to bring an end to the unrest situation.
The seminar was also attended by teachers and students of YK College.
