ESU, TCMDC, SHADOW, CRAU win in U-19 cricket

Imphal, February 17 2024:
ESU, Wangkhei; TCMDC, Thongju-II; SHADOW, Thangmeiband; and CRAU, Khamnam Bazar registered contrasting wins against their respective opponent in league matches of the 2nd MNCA Men's U-19 Tournament 2023-24 on Saturday.
ESU crushed RULE, Meitram by 124 runs at Lairenjam Public Ground.
After posting 166/9 in 40 overs, the ESU bowlers led by Hanjabam Naoba Sharma (six wickets) ended the RULE chase with only 42 runs on board.
At Model Higher Secondary & Oriental College Ground, TCMDC lost six wickets in overhauling PCC, Mayai Koibi's 141/9 scored in 27.5 overs.
Takhellambam Nganba Meitei scored 31 runs in 28 balls to guide the Thongju side to victory.
SHADOW beat TRAU, Kwakeithel by 6 wickets at Moijing Public Ground where TRAU posted 141 in 38 overs, as the SHADOW batters completed the run chase in 29.1 overs.
TRAU's Preethson Arubam with 54 runs and SHADOW'S James Sahu with 4 wickets were standout players on the match.
CRAU won a closely contested match against YUCC, Kwakeithel Moirangpurel by 4 wickets played at Public Ground, Khangabok Part-Ill Cherapur.
After bundling out YUCC for 188 in 31.2 overs, CRAU reached the target in 34.5 overs for the loss of six wickets with Khumanthem Prakash Singh (59) leading the run chase.
Meanwhile, in the 3rd MNCA U-14 Boys Tournament 2023-24 matches played on Saturday, ESU defeated CYSA, Khangabok by 310 runs; KASC, Khomidok cruised past BKCC, Bamon Kampu by 150 runs; YUCC beat SCCC, Singjamei Thongam Leikai by 74 runs; and AKSDO, Khangabok crushed NCA, Nambol by 10 wickets.
