MTA donates medical supplies to JNIMS

Medical Traders' Association (MTA), Manipur donated medical supplies worth Rs 7.5 lakh to JNIMS hospital for use in treatment of people injured in the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the state.
The medical supplies included cotton-IP, guaze rolls, syringes, surgical gloves, face masks, sodium hypochloride, hand sanitisers, bandage rolls, rectified spirits, IV sets, IV cannulas, IV cannula fixators, urine bags, chest drainage catheters, thoracic drainage catheters, AB drainage catheters, scalp vein set, 3M micropore and N-95 face masks among others.
According to MTA president Elendro Thoudam, there are only 16 dealers of medical supplies in the state.
Since its inception in 2019, MTA has been carrying out humanitarian services every year and the medical supplies were provided to JNIMS in continuation of the humanitarian service for use in treatment of people injured in the ongoing crisis.
The association will continue similar services, he assured.
While appreciating the assistance from MTA, JNIMS director Dr Laishram Deben said that JNIMS has been providing healthcare services to the people of the state without discrimination and partiality.
JNIMS authority welcomes such assistance from different organisations, especially during the ongoing crisis, he added.
