NCP blames government for crisis in state

The manner in which the state assembly session was convened for a single day and lasted for a few minutes is indicative of the fact that the state and the central governments are totally unconcerned over the prevailing crisis in the state, opined Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) national president Dheeraj Sharma, on Wednesday.
The NCP national president made the statement during distribution of eatables and clothes to inmates of the temporary shelter constructed at Sajiwa and villagers of Pukhao Terapur bazaar on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
The national delegation of the NCP which in on a visit to Manipur was also accompanied by members of NCP Manipur unit.
After distribution of relief materials, the NCP team which also included NCP Pune city ex-Mayor Prashant Jadav met Governor Anusuiya Uikey and also handed over relief materials to be distributed to the needy people of the state.
Speaking to reporters in this connection, Dheeraj Sharma noted that the people of Manipur are humble and peace loving people.
It is very unfortunate that the state and the central governments are remaining silent when the people are suffering.
NCP will render all possible help to the people of Manipur, he assured.
NCP Manipur president Soram Iboyaima also said that the team pressed the Governor to bring about an amicable solution to the prevailing situation.
The Governor was also informed of the public dissent regarding the single day fruitless assembly session on Tuesday.
