Faculty development prog concludes

The 7-day faculty development programme (FDP) on "Moodle - LMS (Learning Management System)" organised by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (1QAC) of Mount Everest College, Senapati under the sponsorship of the Directorate of University & Higher Education, concluded on Wednesday.
A total of 49 faculty members of the College participated in the FDP which was conducted through both online and offline mode.
FDP is an initiative of the IQAC to enhance the understanding of teachers, students, teacher educators and various stakeholders on the Learning Management System and availability of the Resources in order to enrich the classroom experiences.
The FDP has benefitted the teachers for adaptive and customised learning by using open source software like Moodle.
Through the programme, the faculty members also acquired the knowledge of some of the basics of Moodle such as file upload, assignments, quizzes, notifications, plugins, attendance, reminders, etc.
Speaking during the inauguration programme, Mount Everest College's Dr Samson S Chiru explained that Learning Management System (LMS) supports e-learning by bridging the gap between teachers and learners through collaborative, non-linear, and vibrant knowledge collections while College's vice principal Gonmei Meithaunlungpou expressed gratitude to the directorate of University and Higher Education for sponsoring the programme.
He also congratulated the organiser and the participants for being a part of the informative programme, and urged the faculty members to utilise the knowledge gained from the programme in their future endeavours for providing e-content based lectures to their students.
Certificates were distributed based on the performance of the faculty by presenting a Moodie Learning Management System in department wise.
