Minister Valte assures training to tribal students

Imphal, November 27 2021: Tribal affairs & hills minister ((TA & Hills) Vungzagin Valte has declared that, if interested, the government will always endeavour to provide training to underprivileged tribal students in different trades.

Addressing students during certificate distribution ceremony held for the Scheduled Tribe paramedical trainees, who completed different paramedical courses from Escent Institute of Paramedical Sciences & Skill Development, Imphal at the conference hall of TA & Hills department on Saturday, Vungzagin Valte said that Manipur is marching ahead in the held of medical sciences and its allied activities through numerous initiatives taken up by the government to boost health sector of the state.

He said that training of the tribals will help in providing health services to people in far flung tribal areas and urged trainees to serve the people in need.

He also encouraged successful trainees to utilize knowledge and skills acquired through the training for uplift of humanity, wherever they go.

Expressing his appreciation on imparting quality education and training to the students, the minister said that Escent Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Skill Development is a valuable asset for the people of Manipur.

The event was also attended by additional chief secretary (TA&H) Letkhogin Haokip, TA&H director C Arthur Worchuiyo, additional secretaries Kengoo Zuringla and DK Thangboi, deputy secretary Kamala Devi and under-secretary Dr A Ransing.

The minister also released a souvenir published by the institute under the sponsorship of TA & Hills.

The trainees were sponsored by directorate of tribal affairs & hills and the courses include Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology (BSc MLT), Bachelor of Science in Radio-Imaging Technology (BSc RIT) and diploma courses.

Students who received certificates were of 2018-19 batch of Escent Institute of Paramedical Sciences and Skill Development, Sangaiprou.
