BJP denounces Cong's theatrics
No internal politics or division under Modi Government: CT Ravi

Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, June 28 2022: It is regrettable that Congress party is continu ing to oppose all development works taken up by BJP, regardless of the suffering of the people, BJP National general secretary CT Ravi has remarked.

Addressing a press meet at the Thambal Shanglen of BJP, Nityaipat Chuthek here on Tuesday, CT Ravi remarked that Congress habit of opposing every developmental work taken by BJP is a form of a disease.

Despite being taught a lesson by the people of Manipur in the recent polls, Congress is continuing to maintain this habit.

Recently, Congress has been opposing the Agnipath Scheme, while others are trying to politicise the scheme despite the scheme's potential to bring huge changes in the country.

He continued: "Being a double engine government, the BJP government will continue to work for the development of the state.

After the PM Modi came to power, the DBT system was launched, allowing farmers to get benefits directly.

Ration cards are now provided systematically, while various schemes such as Swachh Bharat, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, etc., have been implemented effectively.

"Furthermore, under the BJP government, many medical colleges have been set up.

The number of universities in the country has been increased to around 700.Around 1.64 lakh km stretch of national highways has been constructed, while 42 crore bank accounts opened for the poor, which has promoted banking system.

Free ration and cooking gas connections have made it possible to further realise the party's ideology of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Viswas, Sabka Prayaas'.

The education sector has made it possible for anyone to study all relevant languages, while the GDP has grown by around 8.7 per cent.

GST collection has also grown.

Thus, the double engine government of BJP will continue to work and serve the people," he elaborated.

The press meet was also attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary Premananda, Deben and media in-charge Ch Chidananda.

The BJP National general secretary also attended a State Executive Meeting of BJP Mah ila Morcha Manipur Pradesh as the chief guest at Epathoukok, Lamphelpat on Tuesday.

During the meeting, CT Ravi said that unlike the Modi government which is united in all fronts, Congress and almost all the other political parties are full of internal politics.

These political parties are putting the country's freedom at risk and rendering democracy meaningless.

Nonetheless, the BJP government is continuing to protect the independence of the country at all aspects and as such, he urged the people to continue supporting BJP.

He then said that PM Narendra Modi had launched various schemes for empowering women.

For the first time in history, there are 12 women ministers in the union cabinet.

Additionally, it has sanctioned over Rs 3 crore for public welfare including granting loans under MUDRA scheme, ranging from Rs 10, 000 to Rs 1 crore.

BJP's absolute victory in the recent polls is due to the support of womenfolk.

Just as there are 12 women ministers at the centre, we should urge for 2 women ministers in Manipur as well, considering 66 percent of women in 4 states (Manipur, Goa, UP and Uttarakhand) voted for BJP, as per a survey report.

The nomination of a tribal woman as the presidential candidate is also PM Modi's gift to the women of the country, he added.

Ravi continued: "Women have always held huge portfolios since the time of gods.

They have been at the forefronts in all aspects and as such, it is true that there is a difference between man and woman.

Women are at a much higher level than men and thus, all of PM Modi's schemes are women-oriented.

Triple Talak is no longer legal and girls can now study at Sainik schools.

"PM Modi's vision is for every youth to be independent, for every household to be rich and to help get the country stronger", he said arid appealed to the people to extend their support in this regard.

Presided over by BJP Mahila Morcha Manipur Pradesh president Loteeka Leima, the meeting was also attended by Naoriya Pakhanglakpa AC MLA S Kebi; BJP Manipur Pradesh VP and BJP Mahila Morcha in-charge T Mina; BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary P Premananda Meetei and Imphal West adakshya RK Taruni as guests of honour.

The meeting was also attended by district and man-dal representatives.
