Set in two small villages, the movie tells the story of two lovers - Wungnaopam, the son of a village chief, and Philayung, a Princess from a neighbouring village - whose lives take an unexpected twist when their love is put to the test.
When Wungnaopam first laid his eyes on the Princess, he was enamoured by her beauty, believing a morning star had been born.
They instantly fall in love; however their story soon hits a roadblock when they realise that their love clashes with their respective clans and communities.
With their love put to the test, both Wungnaopam and Philayung pretended to accept their fate.
However, at a deeper level, questions beg to be answered.
Do they have a choice? What must the two lovers do to stand the test of time? Where will this love be recorded in time? What is in store for them? .
