She appealed to all, specially the youth to shun violence and not to take law into their hands but cooperate with the Government in bringing back peace and normalcy in the State.

The Governor said that she met President of India Droupadi Murmu, who is also the president of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) in New Delhi last month and urged her (President) to extend relief materials to the violence affected people of Manipur which the President approved and sent relief materials to Imphal.

She said, as a guardian and president of IRCS, Manipur State, these materials are being distributed to the affected IDP and their families.

The Governor also donated a sum of Rs.5000 to the camp for purchase of amusement and recreational purposes.

Anusuiya Uikey then went to the relief camp opened at Indoor Stadium in Kakching district headquarters where she met IDP and enquired about the facilities provided to 270 IDP of 68 families from Moreh, Serou and Churachandpur who have been staying there.
