7,24,658 registered job seekers in Manipur

Imphal, March 27 2015 : Directorate of Information and Public Relation Friday released the number of registered job seekers till the end of February last.

A total number of 7,24,658 applicants including 5,15,034 male and 2,09,624 female applicants are on the Live-Register of different employment exchange of Manipur at the end of February according to monthly progress report on the working of employment services, Manipur were reported in Directorate of Employment, Manipur.

The total number of job seekers registered in different district employment exchanges are Imphal West 1,89,373 with1,23,323 male and 66,050 female; Imphal East 1,15,779 with 81,901 male and 33,878 female; Thoubal 1,21,929 with 95,623 male and 26,306 female; Bishnupur 69,776 with 51,779 male and 17,977 female; Churachanpur 72,547 with 53,241 male and 19,306 female; Ukhrul 29,153 with 20,325 male and 8,828 female; Senapati 60,555 with 43,664 male and 16,891 female; Tamenglong 25,559 with19,301 male and 6,258 female and Chandel 30,697 with 20,986 male and 9,711 female respectively.

And the number of registered physically challenges persons are 2,723 with 1,828 male and 895 female and under UEI & GB are 6,567 with 3,043 male and 3,524 female, the statement added.
