Senapati: Christmas Night Carnival begins

Senapati, December 18 2023: The much awaited Senapati Christmas Night Carnival opened today evening witnessing a large number of visitors from across the District Headquarters.

The Senapati Christmas Night Carnival is an annual celebration organized by the Senapati District Administration in collaboration with key community stakeholders, including the Senapati District Catholic Union (SDCU), Senapati-Karong Area Baptist Union (SKABU), Senapati District Students Association (SDSA), Karong-Senapati Town Committee (KSTC), Senapati Entrepreneurs Association (SEA) and managed by HarmonyX Entertainment.

The event is reportedly designed to bring the community together in Christmas celebration emphasizing on the rich cultural and religious diversity of Senapati.

The celebration is scheduled to continue till December 22 at Senapati Bazar.

The key elements of the events include Choral Competition where Churches from across the region have been invited to participate to showcase their musical talents and to keep alive the Christmas spirit through harmonious melodies.

A panel of judges, consisting of music professionals and religious leaders will evaluate the performances based on vocal harmony, creativity, and overall presentation.

The carnival will also hold choreography competitions for Sunday School students.

Apart from the above competitions, various artists, including local musicians, soloists, and bands, performing a diverse range of melodious Christmas numbers will be showcased.

Senapati Bazaar will be transformed into a bustling Christmas market with numerous stalls featuring local artisans, craftsmen, and entrepreneurs.

The stalls will provide an array of a variety of products, including handmade crafts, local delicacies, festive decorations and unique gifts.

The event has also engaged local bodies, religious organizations and other associations in various aspects of the event to foster a sense of unity and collaboration.

HarmonyX Entertainment is reportedly managing the logistics of the event, ensuring smooth coordination and execution which include stage management, sound and lighting, security and overall event productions.

The Senapati Christmas Carnival is aimed to create a joyous and inclusive celebration, reflecting the cultural and religious diversity of the community and fostering unity during the holiday season.

The organisers have invited all to come and visit the night carnival which will be held till 10 pm every day.
