Noney, November 16 2023: A civic action programme was organised for the villagers of Longmai Part-I under Noney district by 86 Battalion CRPF today.

The programme was organised under the aegis of Akhilesh Prasad Singh, IG Manipur and Nagaland Sector, CRPF and under the initiation of Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant 86 Bn CRPF, said a press release by 86 Bn CRPF.

During the civic action programme, tin sheets were distributed for repairing of Youth Club Hall at Longmai Part-I considering the request made by the youths of the village seeking help for repairing the youth club hall as they were facing problems due to the prevailing ethnic clash.

Addressing the gathering as the chief guest, K Kazipmi, Assistant Commandant (OC-A/86 Bn CRPF) said that the distribution of tin sheets was done with an aim to help and develop the village and all the people residing in Longmai Part -I and to foster an atmosphere of good will and positive relationship with the villagers.

The Chairman of Longmai Part-I village and the villagers lauded the noble gesture of 86 Bn CRPF and expressed belief that similar welfare activities will continue in future as well, added the release.
