Imphal, October 08 2021: Special Judge NIA Manipur fixed October 30 for the consideration of charges levelled against Narengbam Samarjit and 4 others by National Investigation Agency (NIA) in their charge sheet in connection with the announcement of formation of Manipur State Council on October 29, 2019 from London.

Accused Narengbam Samarjit was produced before the Court virtually in the presence of his counsel.

Other accused namely N Biswajit, Elangbam Brojendro and Akoijam Deepa Anand were also present along with their respective counsels.

Yambem Biren who was declared as proclaimed offender by the same Court on August 27, 2021 was absent.

Relevant papers of the chargesheets were furnished to accused N Biswajit, who filed Power of Attorney and fixed October 30 for consideration of the charges levelled in the charge sheet.

The Court also remanded N Samarjit further to judicial custody.
