86 Bn CRPF distributes solar street lights

Kangpokpi, March 04 2024: 86 Battalion CRPF distributed solar street lights to the villagers of Sehjang village in Kangpokpi district as a part of its ongoing civic action programme.

The civic action programme was conducted today by 86 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of Akhilesh Prasad Singh, IG Manipur & Nagaland Sector CRPF and under the supervision of Mohamand Yusuf, Commandant 86 Bn CRPF, said a press note by 86 Bn CRPF.

In the context of the civic action programme, a meeting was held with the villagers of Sehjang where the villagers requested the Commandant 86 Bn CRPF to provide solar street lights as there is acute problem of electricity in the village especially during the monsoon.

Keeping in view the problems faced by the villagers, the 86 Bn CRPF Commandant distributed the solar street lights to the villagers.

Speaking as the chief guest, the Commandant said that the programme has been conducted with a view to extend help to the needy people for the worthy utilization of the Government grant meant for the purpose.

These items were distributed solely in the interest of local villagers to fulfil their requirements and to maintain the cordial relation between security forces and local populace so that they get the light of the development and prosperity.

The Chief of the village and the villagers lauded such beneficial initiatives of 86 Bn CRPF and expressed belief that similar beneficial events will continue in future as well, added the press note.
