BJP Konthoujam Mandal resolves to not resign from party

Alleging that the call raised by some groups for mass resignation of BJP members in these crucial juncture is akin to inviting President Rule in Manipur, the BJP Konthoujam Mandal has announced that none of its members from booth level to executive will resign from the party to protect the territorial integrity of Manipur.
BJP Konthoujam Mandal made the announcement on Saturday during a joint meeting held at its office premises in Konthoujam.
The meeting was participated by BJP Konthoujam Mandal's office bearers, advisors & executives, booth level executives and officer bearers of the Mandal's Mahila Morcha.
The meeting strongly condemned the call raised by some group/ organisation for mass resignation of executives and office bearers of BJP Konthoujam Mandal.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP Konthoujam Mandal chief advisor Tekcham Ibochou shared that the meeting deliberated on the call raised by some groups for mass resignation of BJP members.
He conveyed that members of BJP Konthoujam Mandal have been in the forefront since the conflict began on May 3 last to safeguard the territorial integrity of Manipur.
He mentioned that executives and office bearers of the Mandal have taken various initiatives to help the displaced people who are taking shelter at various relief camps opened in Konthoujam AC.
He asserted that the local MLA and Health & Family Welfare Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan also took up various welfare measures for the internally displaced people (IDP) and has been involved in the efforts to defend the State from the threat of Kuki Narco Terrorists.
Ibochou further announced that as per the resolution taking in the joint meeting, the Mahila president, executives and president of the Mandal will not be resigning from the party so that they may continue to work for the welfare of the IDPs and do their part in safeguarding the territorial integrity of Manipur.
BJP Konthoujam Mandal president H Lankanhai, BJP Konthoujam Mandal Mahila Morcha president Chingsubam Taruni, members of core committee BJP Konthoujam Mandal and booth committee also took part in the meeting.
