State Weightlifting Championship : Deny, Yoihenba, Pamheiba enjoy double titles

L Deny of PDA, Ng Yoihenba of YSNC and K Pamheiba of NSK enjoyed double gold medals topping in two men's categories in the ongoing 23rd Sub-Junior (Youth), 24th Junior and 25th Senior State Level Weightlifting Championship at SAI-NERC, Takyelpat.
Deny claimed the titles of both the junior and senior 61 kg category with the second highest 82 kg lift in snatch and record 110 kg in C&J to amass 192 kg.
H Andison of NSK of recorded 86 kg in snatch and 95 kg in C&J finished second in the junior men's 61 kg category as Jonson of SWC who recorded 70 kg in snatch and 85 kg in C&J settled for the bronze medal.
Y Albertson of YSWA secured the silver medal in the 61 kg senior men's category with a 80 kg finish in snatch and 105 kg in C&J while H Andison of NSK (86kg+95 kg) earned the bronze medal.
Dikash Yumnam of NSA lifted a record total of 100 kg in snatch and 120 kg in C&J to secure the youth men's 61 kg category gold as Y Albertson of YSWA who registered 80 kg in snatch and 105 kg in C&J and Th Mangalsana of SAI-Utlou who registered 75 kg in snatch and 95 kg in C&J secured the second and third places.
In the meantime, Ng Yoihenba Meitei of YSNC who amassed 232 kg total off 104 kg lift in snatch and 128 kg lift in C&J secured the gold medals in the 67 kg youth and senior category competitions.
Deepak Thangjam (87 kg in snatch and 100 kg C&J) of PHRSC and S Vorod (55 kg in snatch and 72 kg in C&J) of KYSC&L finished second and third in the youth men's 67 kg competition as Cando Yambem of KSDO secured the silver in the junior competition with a 109 kg finish (50 kg in snatch and 59 kg in C&J).
Nitish Kumar of KLYDC earned the senior men's 67 kg category gold with a 210 kg finish (95 kg in snatch+115 kg in C&J) as S Vorod of KYSC&L was adjudged second.
Adison Huidrom of KSDO won the junior men's 73 kg category gold with a 195 kg finish (85 kg in snatch and 110 kg in C&J) while Th Supreme of LYSC lifted 85 kg in snatch and 102 kg in C&J for a 187 kg finish to secure the silver medals in both the junior and youth competitions.
H Shitaljit of NSK secured the youth men's 73 kg category gold with a 197 kg finish (85 kg in snatch and 112 kg in C&J) while Th Sanathoi Meitei of IGO won the bronze with a 185 kg finish (85 kg in snatch and 100 kg in C&J) .
H Shitaljit meanwhile finished second in the senior category as T Robert of PDA topped the competition with a 260 kg finish (120 kg in snatch and 140 kg in C&J) while Adison Huidrom of KSDO finished third with a 185 kg finish.
K Pamheiba of NSK also claimed the 81 kg youth and junior category gold medals, registering a total of 220 kg (97 kg in snatch and 123 kg in C&J).
Y Abinash (82 kg in snatch and 100 kg in C&J) and Th Skelin of TYWO (50 kg in snatch and 65 kg in C&J) finished second and third in the youth competition as RK Sanamacha of SAI-Utlou finished second in the junior competition with a 215 kg finish (100 kg in snatch and 115 kg in C&J) .
N Samson Singh of TYWO won the senior men's 81 kg category gold, recording 120 kg in snatch and 150 kg in C&J as RK Sanamacha secured the silver medal.
P Shakhenbi win senior women's 59 kg title
P Shakhenbi of NCOE fetched the senior women's 59 kg category gold, recording a 177 kg finish lifting highest 73 kg in snatch and 104 kg in C&J (C&J) .
Kiuchangliu Gangmei of YCUAL lifted 71 kg in snatch and 92 kg in C&J to secure the silver medal as S Utarani of KYSC&L settled for the bronze medal with a 129 kg finish (53 kg in snatch and 76 in C&J) .
In the 59 kg junior category, Kiuchangliu Gangmei of YCUAL with 163 kg finish (71 kg in snatch and 92 kg in C&J) earned the title as M Anjelina Devi of NSA (70 in snatch and 81 kg in C&J) and S Utarani of KYSC&L with a 53 kg lift in snatch and 76 kg in C&J finished second and third.
In the 59 kg youth competition, M Anjelina of NSA was adjudged winners with the 151 kg finish as N Lanchenbi of YSWA (58 kg in snatch and 76 kg in C&J) and Th Preety of KSDO (55 kg in snatch and 68 kg in C&J) finished second and third.
