Manipuri society is under semi-feudal control: MCPM

Maoist Communist Party Manipur (MCPM) founder Chiranglen Sapamcha has asserted that the contemporary Manipuri society is under semi-feudal and colonial control.
Speaking to a team of media persons at a village located near Assam-Manipur border, Chiranglen stated that an objective study of the development of the socio-economic and political system ever since the British colonial period to the present alleged Indian colonial system points out that the contemporary Manipuri society is under semi-feudal and colonial control.
When the British colonialists occupied Manipur in 1891, Manipur society was transformed into the semi-feudal and colonial society in Manipur.
In 1949, India allegedly annexed Manipur and Manipur society again transformed into colonial and semi feudal society.
Ever since then, the Indian rulers adopted direct colonial rule characterised by total control and rampant exploitation of the masses in the name of democracy, Chiranglen alleged.
The colonialist depends on the Manipuri compradors who have been nurtured by them since their very inception from the British colonial period, he continued.
The imperialists control the key sectors of the Manipur economy and administration.
So in about 60 years of their alleged direct colonial rule and exploitation, the Manipur economy was converted into a completely dependent economy.
Manipur comprador bureaucratic bourgeois class is one of the chief instruments for the alleged colonial exploitation and control over Manipur.
Their interests are closely interlinked with the interests of the colonialists in all fields, the MCPM founder remarked.
The Manipuri ruling classes have not only inherited the sanguinary State machinery from their Indian colonialist masters; but also have preserved and strengthened it further during the last 60 years.
This State machinery is nothing but an instrument of suppression and repression, and represents the dictatorship of the comprador bourgeoisie and landlord classes subservient to the colonialism.
The repressive rule is sought to be covered up behind the facade of fraudulent parliamentary system, he alleged.
There are three major contradictions in Manipur namely: contradiction between Indian colonialism, imperialism and Manipur people; contradiction between comprador bourgeois bureaucrat (CBB) and the broad masses of the people; and contradiction among the ruling classes.
Out of these two basic contradictions, the second contradiction that is, contradiction between CBB and broad masses is the principal contradiction at present.
During the process of resolving this contradiction through the armed agrarian revolution, which is the axis of the new democratic revolution, that is, protracted people's war, other contradictions will be resolved, Chiranglen claimed.
The alleged Indian colonialist would be nothing without the existence of their puppet Manipur bourgeois.
On the one hand, Manipur CBB would be nothing if the Manipur proletariat unites to fight the repressive rule.
In this regard, the Manipur bourgeoisie is nothing but a "Paper Tiger", as Mao Tsetung said at the end of the Sixties�a paper tiger that the proletariat can and must cast in history's waste paper basket.
Far from being a class on the decline or having "disappeared", the proletariat constitutes the most numerous classes in Manipur.
Not only is it the leading force, but it is also the main force of the revolution.
The current people's movement led by the progressive civil society organization does not represent its fundamental interests.
It is unable to articulate anything more than a dull class collaborationist orientation.
As a matter of fact, these groups of people have become a tool in the hands of bourgeois to control and subdue the working class, Chiranglen continued.
The goal of the communists is to bring the exploited proletariat to act as an autonomous and distinct class apart from the bourgeoisie, in order to free them.
They must learn to make their very own class interests prevail and assume leadership of its own struggle so it can overthrow the bourgeoisie and be at the helm of a new socialist society in order to push it forward towards communism.
The present primary goal, as proletarians, is to overthrow the Manipur comprador bureaucratic bourgeois and strengthen the revolutionary peoples Power.
Then, a new step will begin�the war against India for the building of socialist society that will lead to communism, Chiranglen added.
