Many continue to extend relief

A dedicated team of Karnataka Meitei Association (KMA) volunteers have offered crucial supplies to families seeking refuge in the relief camps at Koutruk, Phumlou and Lamsang.
According to a statement issued by Core Committee, KMA, the relief packages include a comprehensive selection of essential items aimed at addressing the immediate needs of the residents, such as milk, fruit juice, biscuits, maggie packets, essential medicines and first aid supplies and umbrellas.

With this compassionate initiative, KMA intends to convey to the relief camp inmates at Koutruk, Phumlou and Lamsang that they stand together in the face of adversity.
The relief effort serves as a beacon of hope, reminding those affected that they are not alone on their journey to recovery.
KMA has also extended gratitude towards all volunteers and supporters whose dedication and generosity made the relief initiative possible.
Separately, the Vivekananda Kendra Manipur Vibhag Imphal branch and Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari have conducted relief works in seven relief camps spread across different localities in Imphal.
According to a statement issued by Vivekananda Rock Memorial and Vivekananda Kendra, relief items were distributed to the inmates at Chingmeirong Upper Primary School, which is hosting 25 inmates; Heingang Kangjeibung Makha Community Hall (95 inmates); Pukhao Laipham Community Hall (72 inmates); Community Hall Central High School, Chalou Mayai (49 inmates); Andro Schedule Caste Girls Hostel, Andro Loupaochum (47 inmates); Yambem High School (72 inmates) and Government Dance College, Palace Compound which is sheltering 66 inmates.
Altogether, 426 blankets, 60 phaneks, 90 books on life and messages of Swami Vivekananda were distributed to the inmates.
Notably, the relief items were sponsored by the Disaster Relief Cell of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari.
The Kendra has also done relief works in Bishenpur, Kakching and Thoubal district.
A team of Vivekananda Kendra Karyakartas from Imphal took active part in the relief distribution.
